"Sex, Lies, and Jesus"

“Sex, Lies, and Jesus” is the place where I blog.  It is a place where I share my darkest secrets and the bright light of redemption.  It is where I learned to use my voice.  It, like me, is imperfect but it is my place to grab ahold of the truth that my story matters.  So does yours.  Maybe you will see yourself in some of my story.  You might see someone you love.  Above all else, I pray that you will see that you are never beyond the love and grace that Jesus has for you.  You are not alone.  Your worth is beyond measure.  If you need someone to talk to, please contact me at stefanie@gritintograce.org.

  • Sold
Used. Betrayed. Manipulated. Discarded. Sold. I am not alone. It started with one dollar.  A quick dance that took seconds was merely a sampling of what could be.  The dollar wasn’t the goal.  It was the hook…for him and for me.... Continue Reading →

For a dance…for a song…for how long? NO LONGER NECESSARY.  These words were spoken over me recently.  It was said that, though my story and my knowledge had once paved a way for others, I was no longer necessary in... Continue Reading →

  • Cross, My Heart
THE CROSS DID NOT BELONG IN THE DARK.  It was a thin silver chain I wore around my neck.  From it hung a cross made of glass squares cut to look like small diamonds.  Each piece of glass reflected the... Continue Reading →
